Candle Care
As an independent candle company, we take immense pride and care in creating and inspecting every candle to bring the utmost joy to your home. Each candle is carefully hand-poured in small batches in our factory near the Prescott Mountains of Arizona. We hope you'll find these simple tips useful for extending the life of your candle.
- Trim the wick to 1/4". Use a wick trimmer or scissors to maintain the integrity of the candle wick.
- Light your candle with a match. Fireplace matches are long enough to allow you to light the candle as it sits atop a surface. If using regular matches, gently tilt the candle when lighting to allow the matchstick to reach the wick. If using a lighter, make sure the flame can reach the wick.
- Let candle burn 3-4 hours until wax is melted across the entire surface. This helps ensure an even burn for the life of the candle and prevents tunneling.
- Gently blow out your candle to minimize smoke and debris and to help ensure that the wax remains even for each burn thereafter.

Our recommended tips for routine candle care are:
- Every time before use, trim your wick to 1/4". Our cotton wicks are made to curl so they can easily be flicked with your finger to trim the wick to the appropriate size. Wait until your candle has completely cooled before trimming.
- Burn candle in a draft-free area. Place your candle in an enclosed room away from open windows and doors or vents to ensure that it burns slowly and evenly.
- Burn candle for 3-4 hours. Optimal burn time allows the wax to melt evenly across the full surface of the candle and prevents tunneling.
- Gently blow out your candle to minimize smoke and debris and to help ensure that the wax remains even for each burn thereafter.

Our candles come in modern glass vessels that can easily be repurposed. Here are some simple steps to repurposing your candle:
- Once burned all the way through, clean out the remaining wax by simply placing the glass vessel in a freezer for several hours or until frozen.
- Gently pop the hardened wax out of the glass vessel and scrape any leftover residue.
- Clean the glass vessel with soap and water and let dry.
Then, repurpose the glass vessel for vases, drinking glasses, storage containers or however you like!
